100 in 400

After perusing many a weight loss/inspirational blog, I have noticed a trend. So many women out there have made a list of goals they want to accomplish over time to encourage their progress. So I thought, why the heck not?

Here is a list of 100 mini goals I want to accomplish before my wedding day. I have 400 days. I will update them periodically by crossing off ones I have accomplished. Check back often to see my progress.

My hope is to also write mini blogs about the majority of them, but who knows. That's a lot! If I can accomplish half of these before next August I will be satisfied.

Here they are:

1. Watch a sunrise. (Angkor Wat, Cambodia)
2. Watch a sunset. (Perhentians, Malaysia)
3. Have a 5 minute conversation with an old student.
4. Dance in monsoon rain.
5. Get in touch with the animal kingdom. (vipers, rhino beetles, monkeys, oh my!)
6. Do something daring.
7. Get engagement photos taken 
8. Buy a cute dress and feeling amazing in it. (engagement photo shoot dress)
9. Give a spontaneous gift.(gave my teachers random Gyeongju bbang)
10. Learn one new Korean word a week.
11. Write snail mail to friends and family.
12. Visit a new place in Korea. (Sokcho)
13. Pant my nails once a week.
14. Exercise 5X a week every week.
15. Bake a pie from scratch.
16. Volunteer at the dog shelter.
17. Tell Matt how much I appreciate him.
18. Take my co teachers out to dinner.
19. Use a different language (besides English and Korean)
20. Smile at an old, grumpy ajumma (grandmother)
21. Go to the chiropractor.
22. Get a naked scrub down at the jimjilbang (Korean spa)
23. Sing in front of my students.(a famous KPOP song!)
24. Make a new friend.(Korean teacher from training)
25. Finish exploring the 8 sites of Daejeon.
26. Eat something I haven't tried yet in Korea. (Korean donut)
27. Celebrate my 26th birthday doing something amazing. (Cambodia)
28. Find a new way to use a sarong. (wrap a wound/pillow/cloth to keep bad smells out of your nose etc)
29. Ride a tandem bike.
30. Experience a new religion. (Call to Muslim prayer in Malaysia)
31. Find wedding inspiration everywhere.
32. Fill a notebook with travel plans.(I've already filled 3)
33. Get additional pages stitched into my passport. (December 2011)
34. Meditate. Learn a mantra.
35. Read a book by Nhat Thich Hanh (Savor and many others)
36. Enjoy a tropical drink. (Banana chocolate milkshake)
37. Go out dancing.
38. Memorize a poem. (Invictus, one of my favorites)
39. Learn a new song on the guitar.
40. Go camping. (all the time now that we have a car!)
41. Go back to Gyeongbuk Palace in Seoul.
42. Comment on someone's blog. (friend's school counseling blog)
43. Get a facial.(I didn't get a facial but I DID get a make-over at make-up shop!)
44. Carry someone's things for them. (My co teacher's stuff)
45. Buy a pair of stilettos and walk in them .
46. Hike a new mountain. (Seoraksan!)
47. Read a book a month. (I read a book a week)
48. Find treasure.
49. Reconnect with an old friend. (my old boss from a former job)
50. Get into conversation with someone at an airport/on a plane. (First time flyer on a plane to KL)
51. Write my own vows. I can't write my own because of the Catholic ceremony, but I've memorized it
52. Learn the words of a Korean love song.
53. Do yoga.
54. Grow something.(have an entire garden growing right now!)
55. Do a split.
56. Plan a trip for someone else.
57. Use 4 different modes of transportation in one day.(bus, plane, taxi, train)
58. Take a nap on the grass.
59. Run the 4 mile loop along the river.
60. Fly a kite.
61. Host a holiday party. (Christmas 2011)
62. Learn a new board/card game (GOLF even though I might have played it a long time ago)
63. Dance with my kids.
64. Go to a cupcake bakery.
65. Feel gratitude.(all of the time!)
66. Do something silly in public.(dancing while being videotaped!)
67. Pay for someone's bill.
68. Wear a color that I've never worn before.
69. Learn to play a new instrument.
70. Go to church.
71. Go to temple.
72. Paint/draw a picture.
73. Play pool at a billiards hall.
74. Go shopping in Myeongdong.  (engagement photo shoot outfits)
75. Explore a new dong (neighborhood) in Daejeon I've never been to. (Dongbu terminal area)
76. Wish upon a star.
77. Choose my wedding dress. (all set and ready to go!)
78. Take an inspiring photograph.
79. Learn a new skill.(folding origami cranes, the RIGHT way!)
80. Write a letter in cursive.
81. Wear colored contact lenses for one day.
82. Laugh until I cry. (something Matt said, of course)
83. Make a wedding website.
84. Wax my legs.
85. Eat street food. (omg southeast Asian roti pancakes!)
86. Tell Mihee how much I appreciate her.
87. Go to the movies and watch a Korean movie.
88. Play Yut with Koreans.
89. Visit a friend.
90. Go on a long bike ride.
91. Hug my mom.
92. Write a list of goals and aspirations.
93. Do something significant by myself. (Not a big deal, but driving around Daejeon by myself counts!)
94. Find readings for the ceremony.
95. Tell myself that I'm beautiful.
96. Cry at the movies. (dude, I was balling during War Horse.It was so embarrassing)
97. Say grace at a meal.
98. Drive a car in Korea. (we just bought one!)
99. Be an understanding, compassionate fiancee.
100. Witness something majestic. (from the Bucket List :))
