All to often I forget that gorgeous landscapes, warmhearted country folk and peace and quiet are not a far drive away from where we live in Daejeon. This weekend I was reminded of the quaintness that is the Korean countryside. Not only were we in a rural setting, we were on an island covered in mountains, lush greenery and mind-boggingly beautiful coastline.
Here are some pictures of our weekend trip away in Namhae:

Hi, this is Julio from Dumo kayak village.
ReplyDeleteGreat I found you here!
Hi, Julio! So glad you found us! We also have a main website for Korea: www.krazy4korea.com. Hope you're doing well! the kayaking was awesome! ^^
DeleteI lived here for 9 months and loved it. Stunning place and amazing locals who were so kind us.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks for commenting. I would absolutely LOVE to live on Namhae! It's a gorgeous place, the people always seem to be smiling and the pace of life is wonderfully slow. You're so lucky to have had that opportunity!
DeleteHi! This looks amazing! A couple of friends and I are looking to go camping on sangju beach. How did you go about doing this? Did you book somehere before you arrived? If so, how did you book?
ReplyDeleteIt is free to camp there! We just showed up. This was in April, the weather was perfect but it was a little early for most campers, so it might be more crowded this time of year. We got there around mid-day. A note though..you can only camp in one area off to the right of the beach. If you're standing looking at the beach/ocean, it's past the bathroom building in the grass on the right. We found a spot nestled in between some trees. Hope this helps! Have fun, we're definitely going back! ^__^
